he chapel of the Transfiguration near Repanidi
It is the next village of the fertile plain. It comprises of so many acorns that during Turkish domination it exported them in tanneries of West. There, in the chapel of the Transfiguration, the mining of Lemnia Gi had taken place, which was known for its therapeutic properties since the era of Theophrastus and Galinos, a renowned doctor of Antiquity.
The chapel of Saint Sozontas
Fysini is a small, almost deserted, village full of mulberries. It took its name from the strong winds of the area. Leaving it behind, you go towards the small port of Aya. On the left, you see the chapel of Saint Sozontas. This traditional worship place, just over the sea, disposed of stone cells for worshippers.
The church of Annunciation of Virgin Mary
This big church ist located in the old capital of the island, Moudros. It's one of the most interesting sights in the area and atrackts hundreds of pilgrims.

Prophet Elias
If you have time, walk from Thermae to the mountain –a fantastic route of 374m- till the chapel of Prophet Elias. The view over there is panoramic and really incredible: dentelated coastlines, shoals and lands around it, the dam between mountains Krikela and Saint Dimitrios, and if the atmosphere is clear, then you may see the top of Mount Athos, Thasos, Samothrace and Imvros!
Virgin Mary Kakkaviotissa
Driving between the impressive geological shapes of hills and crossing Mount Kakkavos, mind the sign that directs you to Virgin Mary Kakkaviotissa. Follow the earth-road, knowing that soon you’ll be found in front of a stirring view: huge rocks of various shapes, which hide a chapel in their bowels.
